Enterprises and hosted service providers now have access to reliable fax services, including support for T.38 protocol, over SIP-based networks
San Jose, CA - March 30, 2011 - Dialogic Inc., (NASDAQ: DLGC) a leading provider of communications technologies that power advanced networks, and Broadvox, an award winning hosted Unified Communications-as-a-Service provider and IP telephony industry pioneer since 2001, today announced successful certification of the Dialogic® Brooktrout® SR140 Fax Software with the Broadvox GO! SIP Trunking services. This comes as exciting news to enterprises and hosted service providers who want to use Dialogic's fax software together with Broadvox SIP Trunking to provide their customers with reliable Fax over IP (FoIP) services, including support for the T.38 FoIP protocol.
More and more, enterprises are looking to increase efficiency, as well as centralize their applications and services. By deploying FoIP services over the Internet, enterprises can leverage current investments in converged voice and data networks, reducing capital and operational expenditures, and ultimately increasing ROI.
"Dialogic has a strong reputation for its high quality fax technology, and the certification of the SR140 software with the Broadvox GO! SIP Trunking services will expand the reach of our service," said David Byrd, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Broadvox. "Our combined offerings will provide customers with a more efficient and effective way to do business."
Dialogic's FoIP solutions leverage Brooktrout® fax technology - which has been deployed for over 20 years - to deliver high performance, reliability and scalability. In addition to including the T.38 protocol that enables real-time fax messages over IP networks, Dialogic's SR140 software features board-less fax processing to simplify deployment, and it is based on the V.34 high speed fax standard to reduce long distance toll costs.
"As we continue to see strong demand for SIP-based communications services within the enterprise market, we also see a growing need to support reliable fax communications," said Franz-Josef Eberle, vice president and general manager, Value Added Services and Cloud Enabling Group at Dialogic. "Certification with the Broadvox GO! SIP Trunking services demonstrates our commitment to this growing market, and we are proud to add them to our tested FoIP interoperability list."
