Dialogic’s multimedia processing and signaling platform enables Bubbly to provide reliable service to more than 12 million users
Milpitas, CA – November 8, 2011 – Dialogic Inc. (NASDAQ: DLGC) today announced that Singapore-based Bubble Motion is using Dialogic’s media processing and signaling products to provide its mobile social messaging service, Bubbly, to more than 12 million users in India, Indonesia, the Philippines and Japan. Dialogic’s platforms have played a strategic role in Bubbly’s growth over the past 18 months, as it enabled the service to scale quickly and provide reliable service to its users during an explosive period of growth.
Bubbly’s mobile social messaging service is often referred to as “voice-based Twitter,” and allows people to send and receive bite-size sound messages to friends and family without downloading an application. To rapidly deploy the service, Bubble Motion required strong multimedia processing and signaling capabilities to enable efficient communications across mobile devices. This was especially important in a real-time environment where complex multimedia processing, security and other protocols are required and must continually be updated. Dialogic’s solutions provided reliable connectivity and scalability, while simplifying the multimedia processing element, and accelerating time-to-market.
“Dialogic has been a critical asset to our company during this high growth period, as Bubbly has taken off within the Asian market. Its multimedia processing and signaling platforms are providing seamless connectivity, not to mention enabling us to scale at a pace that is faster than we expected. We are confident that Dialogic will enable us to continue to grow, while providing reliable service, as we take Bubbly worldwide,” said Bubble Motion CEO, Thomas Clayton.
"Bubbly is an innovative service seeing strong growth. We’re proud to have supported Bubble Motion during this critical time, and look forward to working with the company on a global level,” said Eamonn Kearns, vice president of APAC sales at Dialogic.
Chew Weng Hock of Dialogic will discuss further details about this use and others during his roundtable presentation, “Getting Your Billions From $100 Smartphone Era,” on November 10 at IDC’s Asia Pacific Telecom Summit, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
