Changes in Release 8.4.1 Engineering Release 13

FR1427 RTP Source Port Validate

The CSP does not allow multiple RTP streams sent to the same VoIP channel. By doing so, the CSP prevents poor voice quality or other potential voice problems. The CSP uses the RTP Source Port Validate Method to examine the IP address and the UDP port of the incoming RTP packet to ensure that the packet came from the the device to which the CSP is transmitting RTP data.

If the validation fails and CSP detects that its getting RTP from an unknown source, the CSP will drop the invalid RTP packets. This feature also applies to incoming RTCP packets.

Use the UDP Source Port Validate (0x01DF) TLV to configure this feature. It is enabled by default.
