Purpose
Excel’s CSP uses the proprietary EXNET to connect multiple CSP chassis into a single virtual CSP. EXNET is an open architecture, 1.3 Gbps fiber optic network that uses a packet-based protocol. When you use EXNET to link up to seven CSP chassis into a single virtual programmable platform, the CSPs are then called nodes within the system.
